You have been asked to see 65-year-old John Smith as he has become increasingly short of breath, he is currently on 3L of oxygen via nasal cannula

Please perform an arterial blood gas and interpret the results, the examiner will ask you some questions.

Age: 65
Basic info: Admitted today due to shortness of breath and increased fatigue.

PMHx: COPD, DHx: salbutamol inhaler

Station time: 10 minutes
